What is a Mouse? Well, according to the dictionary it is a small rodent that typically has a pointed snout, relatively large ears and eyes, and a long tail. So, I thought, why not incorporate these small rodents into food – eh? Fun with food – YAY!! Well, according to mama♥miss a mouse is a hard-boiled egg, that may or may not have a radish tail, chocolate chip eyes, and raisin ears ;) V says, “Mama silly!” Yep, I’m pretty silly :) I’ll let you in on a big secret – silliness is what keeps you sane ;)
I have fond memories as a child of my dad making mice out of pears…maybe that’s where I get all this creative food-iness from?! :)
1. breakfast mouse
hard-boiled egg, waffle, blueberries, craisins, radishes, shredded cheddar cheese
2. lunch mouse
hard-boiled egg (dyed green – your eyes aren’t foolin’ ya – HA!), shredded cheddar cheese, raisins, mini chocolate chips, chow mein noodles, kiwi, cherry tomatoes, cucumber & cream cheese whole wheat wrap
3. dinner mouse
hard-boiled egg, shredded cheddar cheese, raisins, mini chocolate chips, veggie medley, blackberries, marshmallow, fruit leather, purple sugar crystals, purple lettuce, breaded chicken nuggets
4. dinner mouse
hard-boiled egg, shredded cheddar cheese, mini chocolate chips, chow mein noodles, lettuce, carrots, granny smith apple slices, popcorn breaded fish
Oh yeah – & I’m such a nerdo that I didn’t like ANY mouse icons online soooooo I drew this mouse myself! And I was like…why just a mouse? Why not a maze with some cheese, too?
So I sketched this A-MAZING (haha ya get it? – I’m hilarious!!) little ditty & prettied it up in Photoshop :)
Fun stuff – my first ever maze, mouse & cheese I’ve ever made! Enjoy!!
